Welcome to HSNA Maritime Education and Research - Mumbai

HSNA Maritime Education and Research, Mumbai was established in order to bring Maritime education to all. Located in Mumbai about 500 kilometers from Delhi, the national capital of India and is well connected to it through air, road and rail.

HSNA Mumbai was founded by Captain Noor Iman Beg and his family to impart maritime education in all parts of country with a mission and vision. Captain Noor Iman Beg is an Ex-Rajendra and has sailed for more than 25 years. Apart from years of teaching experience, he also has 14 years of Command experience on different types of vessels.

In a span of almost few years, HSNA has trained more than 25000 officers and crew for shipping industry. HSNA has two sister colleges named as Centre for Maritime Education and Training - Lucknow and HSNA Maritime Education and Research in Lucknow. Considering the demand of seafarers for pre-joining medicals, HSNA also has two Medical Centres in Lucknow named as CMET Marine Medical and HSNA International Medical and Diagnostics. HSNA also complies with the training recommendations of IMO, London conducting professional maritime courses.

Approvals & Accreditations

All the courses being offered by HSNA Mumbai are approved by Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Surface Transport, Government of India.  All courses are conducted in compliance with Standards of Training Certification and Watch Keeping (STCW 1978 as amended) set by International Maritime Organization.
